@Insultron2000 Hey, hey.
@Insultron2000 Hey, hey.
@Insultron2000 Hey, wake up
Trying to work out how to get a reverse-chronological order out of an AWS S3 listObjects request.
It hurts my brain, but so far the best thing I can come up with is to name all my objects with a key something like this:
Number.MAX_SAFE_INTEGER - Date.now()
@scanlime Nah, technically it's an alphabetic sort order and not numeric :/
@kevinbrill I was thinking of doing something like that, but seeing lots of small edge cases. Like, if a day was skipped or etc, I wouldn't know how far back in time to query
@kevinbrill (i.e. when the query is a simple "last 50 entries" kind of thing)
Okay, so my ID generator has a Y2198 problem now, but I'm having trouble caring about that.
@art Oh hey, this is highly relevant to my interests
Still trying to get webfinger to work with purely static S3 resources, but I'm not having much luck. Seems like lots of tools ignore / can't use my .well-known/host-meta and the "@" & ":" characters are problematic in filenames, object keys, and URL paths.
@skiant oh cool! That pic was the first I'd seen of this!
@supergoose This was a very spooky halloween story to me, someone who is well acquainted with Butt Face
@supergoose And of course Mr. Lo L Butts
Me at 23: I slept on several pointy rocks under my tent and I was slightly achey until I stretched and had breakfast.
Me at 43: I slept with my neck at an angle that differed by 3.12% from usual and have lost the ability to move my head at all for the next 4 days.

There's a flat roof outside my office that's covered in twigs & acorns right now.
Something like 20 little finches landed on it and started pecking around. Then, like 10 crows landed. The birds are all kind of just getting along.
All the cats have their noses pressed against my office window doing that chattery thing.
All we are are meat mechs for spooky skeletons
