Back around 2004 or so, I had a System for listening to podcasts on my morning commute.
No iPod, but I did have a car radio that could play MP3s from CD-RWs.
So, I'd plonk a CD-RW in my PC after dinner. I wrote a script to download casts and burn the CD. Ready by morning.

I guess this is to say that it felt like living in the future in 2004 even though it was clunky as hell. I look forward to technology being even smoother while living on my houseboat in 2032.
@carlo somewhat, yeah. A bit overblown as urban legend, but it happens
