Are self-hosted Minecraft servers still a thing?
So, I revived an old minecraft server I'd set up for myself a few years ago. Apparently, my nether house is full of cows.
But also now I'm kind of sad-but-not-surprised to see that Minecraft for Nintendo Switch can't connect to my own server in a Docker container

The problem with finding my old Minecraft server is that I think I wrote over those tapes in my brain with React & Webpack configuration tutorials.
I have no idea why I have so many chickens or where this magic book came from or why there is a field of mushrooms under my house.
Am I, like, having a David Byrne moment in Minecraft?

I woke up with an idea for a voice assistant invention - The Coordinator: It's a soundproof box. You put a Google, a Siri, and an Alexa in there. Close it up. Talk to The Coordinator. A speaker inside the box rephrases & relays commands to subordinates, relays reponses to you
There's a stray fluffy black cat who visits my yard most days. She's very skittish. She'll hang out and chill when I do stuff outside, but doesn't want petting.
I often give her a little food. But, if I don't stay out there with her while she eats, the squirrels in my yard actually kind of bully her and try to steal the food. Usually, she'll climb up a tree and let them.

@fluffy Yeah, though she's definitely not an under-nourished looking cat, so I'm like how are you getting by out here?

@fluffy Yeah, that's true. Though she also has a clipped ear, which makes me think someone the TNR thing with her at some point. I also kind of wonder if that was a traumatic thing

@pixelpaperyarn Yeah, I was like playing music and things were knocking & plinking & whatever and then I heard her get cozy and just turned it all down
You know what I want from machine learning? A bot that will watch the cameras we have outside our house and give me a daily report of all the animals that were seen.
@flugennock I think my desk ends up being a nice place, since it's a slab of ikea butcher block in close proximity to a radiator. Whole desktop is warm all winter
@flugennock Also, I've heard the keyswitches on that particular keyboard are very pillowy
