This is the picture of a great victory.

Using a cheap USB-C borescope gaffer-taped to a fiberglass fish rod, I figured out how to work a network cable up from the basement to my office. Then I went all stabbity on the drywall and managed to find the fish rod on only the third try.

@george inorite?! Seems like this just happened in the last couple of years. They're slightly terrible yet unreasonably useful for the price versus what like a real professional scope would cost

@george godspeed, sir. I locked out and found existing paths through the walls. So I didn't have to use one of those bits. The borescope was really handy in kind of wiggling around past things and then vaguely having a clue where I ended up upstairs

@typingmonkey @george Huh, looks like there's a new crop of them that come with wifi modules. Wonder how useful those are...
