I just stopped what I was doing, jogged through the house chanting "ADHD! ADHD!" and did something else. Now I'm tooting about it. Maybe I'll get back to that first thing I was doing.

By the way: My team at Mozilla, Firefox Accounts, is still looking for a Senior Software Engineer. If this at all appeals to you, you should apply. Even if you think that maybe possibly you're not Senior enough.
In fact, if you're the kind of detail oriented person who thinks they shouldn't apply because they look at the job requirements closely and feel they can't check off every item - you're very likely someone who should apply.
@vertigo @requiem FWIW, we have some other listings too, with a few being shorter-term contracts.
That said, burnout is a real problem :/ I've managed to skate around it a bit while I've been here and gotten some decent amount of slack from managers over the years. But you have to take care of yourself
@requiem @TheGibson Honestly, I do get kind of jaded sometimes with this FOSS dayjob.
But on the other hand, I have been at Mozilla for 11 years so far and nothing else has pried me loose, so... :)
Missteps aside, quite a lot of us are really believers in the mission
@TheGibson @requiem It's all good. :)
cancel me daddy
(oh god why did that just pop in my head)
(oh god why did i just toot that)
@ngp Hmm, that might be a poorly constructed listing then. I can definitely say we're looking for full-stack engineers - or at least spanning different chunks of the stack
@ngp We're dealing with a mix of "mature" and new tech with lots of cloudy backend stuff feeding up into a few different frontend apps
