So I got Chrono Trigger running on both my old Nintendo DS and my New Nintendo 3DS.

Thought maybe I'd like playing on the 3DS better, but the old DS screen looks way sharper and the colors seem nicer.

Like, the first picture from the 3DS looks kind of out of focus. But I think the 3DS scaling is just doo-doo

Oh wait: There's a trick to it. If you hold down start or select when starting a DS game, it disables the scaling. Only takes up a part of the screen, but it looks much better.

Of course the weird thing now is that my DS screen area is actually larger than the 3DS display >_<

Oh well. First time actually trying a DS game on 3DS, believe it or not

Clearly, I need to acquire a 3DS XL with a bigger screen, then

@matt Yeah, it tries, and it's tolerable for some games. (i.e. not RPGs with lots of text) But apparently there isn't an even multiplier between the two screen resolutions
