Watching a dude install new fiber at a neighbor's house and whew does that look adventurous. I guess there's a steel cable holding the weight of him and the ladder but :ablobgrimace:

Also continues to be wild to me that our neighborhood electric & comms grid is just lots of extension cords run between dead trees.

@seven@panthermoderns.org Oh, this was just him about halfway through adding the fiber cable to the other cables in the run there. Where it branched off to the house was out of frame to the left, not actually through the tree. Was about 1/2 a block from wherever he started the cable on the pole at the corner

@seachaint Huh, what if residential showers were more like toilets with a tank reservoir that "flushes" to do the job? (toilet comparison is gross, but 🤷‍♂️)
