@zpojqwfejwfhiunz now THIS is pod racing
That thing where someone else's constant need to sound competitively smart collides with your imposter syndrome
Like, look, yes I realize I forgot to check that one thing. Yes, correct, you're right that thing needs checking every time. I ordinarily remember to check it. Yes, correct, I did not in fact check it this time and it needs checking and you are correct. Points to you and maybe I'm just not cut out for this job.
This is not a reasonable feeling. But also I don't think this is a reasonable behavior. It feels like Peter in Office Space getting calls about the cover sheet on his TPS reports.
Anyway, the real solution here is that the thing I forgot to check should have been checked by a robot.
Tried getting some more code sketch demos together this past weekend. But I fell down a fun invisible rabbit hole of perlin & simplex noise, marching squares, rust compiled to WASM, and WASM in web workers. Hoping I can wrangle it into something visible soon.
My goal is to make neat graphics & sound, but it's also kinda neat to compile a bit of Rust code and have it run off in a thread on a web page. Like, none of those things were things about 10 years ago in webdev
(oh yeah and if any co-workers are reading this, this is not a sub-toot about anything recent. this has happened many times throughout my career. this was one of those 3am wake-up-and-cringe things)
@pho4cexa subconsciously forcing myself to typo this until my account gets locked out
@trashheap oof. last time I booted up that game was to finish all last year's halloween stuff. It's been halloweentown forever in there
