So we bought a United Tropicana bingo pinball machine from 1955. It is loud and baffling!

That's what it does when you put nickels into it and it randomly selects game features. It's an electromechanical machine and you can literally see the relays sparking.

The logic is expressed in clock-like disc's with contacts swiping over them. Very nifty

In fact, if you'd like to know more about this pinball machine, it's previous owner did some amazing exploration into it! twobraids.com/2021/09/the-gran

I have come up with a phrase to describe my goal for my next couple of weeks between jobs:

"copacetic sanguinity"

Like, I want to feel like what I'm doing is generally okay and feel okay about myself doing it. I have been lacking this for a good long while.

I've also got some intentions on which I'd like to follow through, but trying not to browbeat myself into it.
