Wanted to have a tiny Beltane celebration. So I built a fire, made elderflower martinis, and made some oatcakes
Iām not really a Beltane expert but I seem to remember fire and oats and booze were appropriate aspects
@brainwane I think they're pretty good! That album "A/X" sounds way more synthpop / industrial / outrun than their previous album "Alkimia". That one is more gothy like Bauhaus / Interpol, but I like that that stuff too, so I'm a fan overall!
I have acquired a few pairs of some sorta stretchy hiking pants. These are now my favorite thing? They're like pajamas yet somewhat more socially acceptable to wear into the coop grocery down the block?
Like, I don't care about fashion, I just care about being comfy and not really being noticed all that much. But I do draw the line at, like, camo patterns
@brion@mastodon.technology Sorta? They're pretty loose like jeans but also still stretchy. And they're not really new other than new to me. Heh and now that I try to find a link to them, I find they're already discontinued!
@craigmaloney @brion@mastodon.technology Hah, yup, Eddie Bauer! Seems like they discontinued the last 3 or 4 things I bought from them almost immediately
@craigmaloney @brion@mastodon.technology Which is like "hey this is comfy, I will buy many more" and they say "absolutely not"
@craigmaloney @brion@mastodon.technology Haha, this is very close to my wife this weekend telling me "welcome to pants"
@Ventronik @craigmaloney @brion@mastodon.technology Haha yeah, my style is basically "are people not looking at me? cool"
@bcgoss I mean, personally, I prefer not to be perceived altogether. I would like a little bit of stretch in my pants and for every gaze to inexplicably slide away from my visible form
@swansinflight If you can forgive some fully unsolicited advice, speaking of "haven't kept anything like this up for this long": Couch to 5k worked unbelievably well to get me up to 5k jogs when I hadn't moved faster than a walking pace for years & years
@jalefkowit @craigmaloney And FWIW, imagine what happened when Mozilla tried to make Firefox OS a thing on real phones... š
@swansinflight your mileage may vary of course, but hopefully it's handy to you!
@jalefkowit I remember many years ago when folks were first tinkering with compiling C to JS, someone was like "finally we can ship Python on a web page" and someone else was like "hahaha but that would be many megabytes of runtime, that would be ludicrous"
@jalefkowit Of course we've also got Python in a web component nowadays so š¤·āāļø
