Trying to decide if the Portland Retro Gaming Expo is in my panini risk budget this year. On the one hand, I got my 4th jab and a Flo Mask. On the other hand, that's a lot of people in a convention center.

Like yeah, yeah, panini's over, so said the president. But, I like my lungs and I have enough problems with my brain already. That said, I can't decide whether it's more or less risky than a bike ride to the venue. I have actually gotten bruised ribs from a bike crash this year

@feoh Yeah, 🤞 my wife and I haven't had COVID-19 at all yet, so far as we know. In fact, haven't even really had the sniffles or a cold since March 2020.

We've both been almost completely hermited up since then. Like, working entirely from home, no eating at restaurants, no drinks at bars, and barely shopping beyond delivery for the past 2 years at least.

But, she just got a new job that's demanding some in-person time. That along with having had all our shots has us considering loosening up.

@jayeless FWIW, the foggy glasses thing doesn't happen for me with a full-on 3M respirator or the new Flo Mask that I just bought. Because, of course, both of those have rubber face seals. And they're not cheap.

Oh and I've lucked out with some rigid cup-style masks I wore in workshops. But those are super bulky.

But, any of the other styles of masks I've tried are terrible. Especially the ones that conveniently fold up and fit in a bag or a pocket.

And if I turn my head too fast, my glasses literally rocket off my face. That's always fun.
