@benbrown I'd tried doing something very similar on glitch a few years ago (single user instance) and saw the same thing.
I got distracted into starting to record a map of the fediverse since it seemed like every server everywhere started throwing DELETEs at me.
But then I got distracted away from that by something else shiny
@benbrown Heh, yeah I've done that, used the wrong key pairs between servers, and a handful of other mishaps.
I've gotten a bit better at just digging into mastodon source and wedging in logging statements to tell me what went wrong on the receiving end.
