holiday blasphemy

I keep hearing about that holy infant, so tender and mild, and it's making me hungry for pulled pork

re: holiday blasphemy

(I know this isn't an original joke, but seriously I need some BBQ)

re: holiday blasphemy

@danhon well, you can always douse 'em in sauce

re: holiday blasphemy

@danhon I'd totally be down for that 😁

@senj sweet merciful crap how is this not a joke. it's a bit right? this is causing me psychic damage trying to process it

@tankgrrl I think this was my first literal cackle of the day

@brianvastag Why is it not ok? Why does the admin have to say anything at all? There's no customer service relationship here.

If he couldn't be bothered to get to know the admins or even reach out to ask, what's in it for the admins to exert themselves for him? Like he goes on & on about "anonymous overlords", which tells me he didn't even look at the about page of his instance. Bad for a user, worse for a "journalist"

@mjgardner 🤔 🤤 :blobhungry:

@rgegriff This one's pretty great too, I love this band

@jenn that mug is dangerously close to the edge of that table, it belongs in a museum!

@emmah @jrconlin somewhat related: my favorite streaming station for shoegaze and such is over at Big Sonic Heaven.

I had a bot that scraped their now playing widget and accumulated a spotify playlist with a few hours of music. (But sigh spotify)

@suetanvil @brianvastag I wouldn’t even say they have an obligation to act fairly. And what looks fair from some perspective may not be from another.

Yeah, if their goal is a social space that gains and maintains a lot of participants, then careful and permissive moderation is an arguably good practice. But also at some points a community host makes calls that can look arbitrary but set the bounds of the place.

IMO, it’s an ongoing negotiation, not a system of contracts and obligations.

@zorinlynx yeah, iirc those are mandated in the US by the EPA for water conservation 😕

Eating super-spicy Malaysian ghost pepper instant ramen for lunch on a rainy day is a vibe I find hard to describe but I like it (especially now that I've come to terms with the spice level of this ramen)

@SuperDicq Yeah, I haven't seen it on newer stuff in awhile. Today's specific example is an Anker USB 3.0 hub that's about 6 years old but still working fine except for being coated in muck

Whew. I had a slight headache and some allergy sniffles and these ghost pepper noodles just like hit a reset button on my whole head between the spice endorphins and sinus action

Haha yes... YES....
