We found a soft fortune cookie bed in the attic and Anchovy is now absolutely zonked out in it

@thegibson I remember getting a Shivan Dragon out of my first booster pack ever back in like '94 and I remember thinking it was the coolest dang thing

@thegibson Got mine too! I'd probably be roflstomped by any modern deck, but every now and then I think to go browse through them

re: social anxiety posting

@lecramed Oof, I am often in this described situation :bloboverheated:

@thegibson That's awesome

Every now and then I think I really want to acquire a TRS-80 Model 4.

Mostly my nostalgia is due to an uncle who owned one, but I was never allowed to play with it. So I literally have no real experience with how it works, but I still want one because it was out of reach when I was a little kid.

(Also, this and a Commodore PET are kind of the most Computer Shaped in my earliest impressions)

Anchovy waits for dinner; Anchovy has eaten dinner.

Happy new year from belated west coast USA

πŸŽ† πŸŽ‡ (emoji fireworks make no sound)

(of course real fireworks make noise and Catsby has hidden under the couch 🐱 - I lured him back with a snack and a heating pad but he's very dubious about the whole thing)

Now, I am full of meat & cheese and two martinis and I'm having an argument with the toddler in my head who doesn't want to go to bed

@e_er1n @subrote@mastodon.lol the Goa'uld trick! hahaha

MetLife is annoying me with password requirements today. (WTF are "special characters"? This is the year of our lord 2020, that's not a thing anymore)

Also, I'm sure someone has written about this and I haven't bothered to look, but surely these sorts of cruddy password requirements are at least a hint at whatever awful hashing algo they use (or lackthereof) and that makes it easier to crack passwords in a data leak

food, alc

I think those martinis I made us last night were stronger than I thought. Also I’m older than I thought. Nonetheless, I made brunch

Just realized that I have tomorrow off from work, too. Decided to spend some time window gazing with my boy Catsby and do some writing I’ve put off for most of slothmas. The sunday scaries can wait another sleep

Also looking forward to longer days. This time of year I think about afternoon bike rides, but if I procrastinate just a little it’s suddenly dusk or dark out. Kind of can’t wait until like 6pm or even 7pm is still a reasonably sunny time to be out and about, and maybe I’ll take a break from staring at this thing

@evan i ate a homemade frozen burrito for lunch (sorry no picture i ate it)
