Just finished reading Perhaps the Stars by @adapalmer during breaks over the past week or so at Jury Duty and found myself getting a bit verklempt at points.

Some of the dense literature & history references go over my head a bit, but it's having a definite interaction with my sense of civic duty.

Going to have to read the whole series over again now that the entire text is available

Also weird that it's been like 7 years since I read the first book (Too Like the Lightning).

A lot of the notions in the books were sort of fresh strange things for me then, which I feel like are deeply digested for a different me now.

Not sure that makes a lot of sense - especially admitting how much sailed over my head - but those books definitely have a carve-out in my brainmeats now.

@socketwench It's definitely a worthy read, IMO. Interesting mix of sci-fi and sort of "future historical" what-if world building presented in a really dense dramatic style that takes after classic literature

@maddiefuzz Some Corn Flakes from John Harvey Kellogg will fix that right up for ya
