Few things like waking up to the incessant beeping of my NAS telling me a hard drive went brap and died.
It appears to be within the warranty period for an RMA.
Now I just have to decide if I'm paranoid about sending a semi-broken drive full of VCD rips of Disney's Gargoyles across state lines.
A thing I think about sometimes is that pet pictures are often so endearing because the pet is looking at their human, and you get to see that look when you see the picture.
The pet probably wouldn't look at you that way, though. But, it's a neat thing to capture and share.

Also, pets very probably don't understand parasocial relationships.
