I feel like my unpopular opinion about the Mastodon client encouraging signups on Mastodon dot com is that it's fine for folks to start there and spend awhile there before maybe deciding to move somewhere else where they see cool people hanging out

@xenophora Yeah, like maybe there should be a process where, after you've been on mastodon dot social for awhile, you get a gentle nudge to explore other instances? Whether automated or more like instance ambassadors inviting folks to come over
