@runoutgroover I have a blog still online that goes back to 2002, but 🤷♂️ I never personally had the same expectations for my tweets or toots

@vantablack I don't actually know you but I'm glad you're still here
@vantablack (that sounds weird, i mean I haven't met you except a lil bit around here, and I'm glad you're here. you seem neato)
@astatide Yeah, I think we took a bit more than 10% off
@sam It's true!
@thegibson would you rather encounter a horse-sized duck or 100 duck-sized horses?
@TheDarkHorse @thegibson @signal9 @Wrewdison i've been bagging boxes, i think i'm doing it wrong
I always mean to more seriously celebrate the solstices, equinoxes, and cross-quarter holidays but never manage to have the forethought to do it.
Also... seriously celebrate. That's a fun oxymoron.
Anyway, happy Summer Solstice fellow earthlings!
That wheel of the year always surprises me, what with all that turning and such
I'd celebrate with a little fire in the backyard, but I don't know that the world needs more fire right now?
I did spend breakfast sitting outside, writing and tossing nuts to scrub jays & squirrels, though. That was nice
@Greg Yeah, also we have the context and not negligible trauma of experiencing wildfires and smoke season. I don't think it's super dry here today, but the red sun in 2020 around PDX left me particularly reticent to build fires or start up the grill
Just 27 minutes into my workday and already I'm feeling done. That's cool
(and by cool of course I mean uncool, and by done i mean out of spoons not that all my work for today has been completed)
@Luther Good questions. Generally, I'm terrible at taking time off. And then, usually if I actually want to do it because I'm at a breaking point, it's rather last minute and other folks have already made plans. A paycheck is a hell of a drug
@Luther Hope you get your livelihood fix as soon as you can
@cholling @LilahTovMoon Having just tried an e-signature with a trackball today, I can say I experienced a significant shortfall in gravitas during the process
I have a motorized sit/stand desk, but I couldn't remember that terminology - so my brain just called it an "elevation station"
@davidrevoy (rolls for initiative)
@skippy Heh, that's a reference I haven't heard in awhile
@lordbowlich @thegibson @requiem got dang DLC 👁️
That thing where you're trying to overcome executive function to get one promised thing done today but some folks are really trying it
@benbrown When I was a kid, for awhile I had a Commodore 64 with no tape or disk drive. If my Mom saw that the power LED was on when I wasn't in the room, she would turn it off. That meant whatever I'd been doing was gone.
So, one day, I opened up the machine and unplugged the LED.
@erosdiscordia @chris Hah, just smart enough to know how dumb I am :yayblob:
