@sam I think that's a frontier unexplored by medical science calling out for a pioneer

Someone has to have done a Dare To Be Stupid / Temple of Love mashup, right?

A lack of finding this is seriously making me want to get back to learning a DAW like Ableton or somesuch

@retroist I’m sad, because once upon a time I had that gold cartridge. But I think someone walked off with it when I brought it to a retro gaming event at a convention.

Luckily, I still have the game map that I filled in as a kid, though. It’s framed on my office wall now!

puttering around with automation on a side project today and calling it productivity

also, eating instant ramen with a slice of american cheese today and calling it lunch

follow for more wild and zany antics :blobwhee:

@danhon Just the most tremendous heat domes, here in America. All the best cars just absolutely sinking into the asphalt like never seen since La Brea

Wired: the term "robouroboros" from this Ars Technical article about AI getting pwned by redditors (I guess they still exist?)

I wonder if there's a term for models training on model-generated content? It's like a human centipede except the bot's got its head grafted to its own ass

@autumn Working in a space almost just like this was my 1st paying job out of college 😁 It was, indeed, a multi-line BBS that had progressed to small 1990s ISP

@kat @autumn Gotta keep some of the modems sort of cool part of the time.

(we also smoked in the office at the ISP where I worked, so I doubt that helped the hardware much either)

Wahey, my lil Mastodon static site generator project has its own statically generated documentation site now, too! I think they might be onto something with this whole internet software ecosystem thing. It's static web sites all the way down
