Got an Apple M1 Pro MacBook Pro and built Firefox from source for the first time in a couple of years. Very surprised to see the whole process took under 20 minutes. It used to take hours 😮

@mos_8502 Yeah, I was pretty curmudgeonly about Macs for a bunch of years now. Avoided the whole touch bar & butterfly keyboard era. But, have had a MacBook Pro for the past year and been pretty blown away by this CPU

@cwebber You got a prosthetic prehensile trunk grafted on in your enthusiasm for the work, if I recall

@dustin Yeah, I think the iOS-ification is where a lot of my gripes come in. And relatedly that macOS seems not to know how decently manage multiple monitors
