I've never been to Burning Man, so I'm sure I don't really get it. But I do think it's funny there was a climate protest against it

Like, I dunno, seeing a line of RVs rolling into Burning Man and having read stories about glamping on the playa for years all feels like real "you're The Man now, dawg" energy

@danhon It's like that Sound of Freedom movie where folks keep weirdly "paying it forward" by buying tickets for empty seats no one ends up using.

Except we keep buying the tickets and actually sitting in the seats and seeing Barbie repeatedly.

Added another complication to my rube goldberg mousetrap machine of personal notetaking infrastructure. It is a jenga tower of awful.

But, now, my handwritten notepads from my e-ink tablet get automatically exported as PDF and copied into my Obsidian vault. From there, they get synced and backed up to a git repo and a few other locations.

Thanks to terrible hackintosh magic, that also includes iCloud Drive so I can see all this on my current phone.

Someday, I want to either find or train some machine learning model that can handle my weird handwriting. Then, hopefully I can turn this growing pile of PDFs into searchable text. Maybe make a chatbot to talk to myself and experience my own insufferability

I mean, really I don't think my handwriting is that bad. It's just never played well with anything computerized ever. (Also, just to be meta, I wrote all this just to test out the rube goldberg machine)

@dajb FWIW, I badly bruised some ribs after going over my handlebars, about a year ago.

I think it took about 6-8 weeks for it to really stop bothering me - and it bothered me in really unexpected motions and postures. Not sure if that helps other than ugh having injured ribs sucks
