@ingalls Heck, when we lived in Detroit, it took me 10 minutes in a car just to get out of my neighborhood to a major street to start the trip to the store.
Here, I'm a 10 minute walk from most essentials and an e-bike gets me almost everywhere else. It's great

That annoying thing on Substack where, in a long newsletter, things slowly slowly fade out as your scrolling approaches the subscribe-to-this-newsletter box in the middle of the page.
This, despite already being subscribed to the newsletter, because that's how you got to the page in the first place but you didn't feel like reading it in email.
What a grungy platform
It would be interesting if there were ways to get folks to support & pay or trade value for things that weren't implemented in one or more clever creative ways to annoy or trick folks into action

@tankgrrl Nice! I got an android e-ink tablet earlier this year with a stylus and it's really making me want to get a pocket mini version of that experience.
