@mdhughes well, now peter steele's voice is directly injected into my head, and I didn't even have to watch the video
@twobraids @TechConnectify Hah! If you hadn't seen this video, I was going to send it your way :blobhappy:
Was playing BG3 and exploring some sewers. I ran into what was apparently a "grease mage" - a dude with magical powers to summon hostile living grease blobs and cover every surface in grease.
Super gross. But also it turns out the grease is flammable? So I lobbed a firebolt at the grease trail and everything exploded and died.
Well, except for the grease mage, who's apparently immune to fire. So, that dude got an ice storm to the face and thrown down a pit. Lost the loot, but most times I think the LOLs are better than loot.
@stammy This is why, years ago, I built a DIY monitor with a VESA mount on a mic stand that lives by the couch

Ooooooof, I just realized that my DIY monitor and couch PC setup is over 10 years old.
The PC's internals are a Ship of Theseus after various upgrades, but the case is the same Fractal Node 304 that I've had since 2013.
The monitor has progressed from an awful hand-dremel'd acrylic mess mounted to an IKEA laptop stand - to a mic stand and a picture frame. But, the LED panel and driver are the ancient originals.
I keep meaning to upgrade the monitor to 4k. Also keep meaning to switch to a small form factor case. Maybe someday?
Still, dang, 2013

@triptych Every now and then I feel a disturbing nostalgic urge to build a 90s-era web page with image maps and table layouts
@Macross They're real mighty convenient for laptops! I'm kinda salty IKEA dumbed them down and took away the tilt feature
