@Jamessocol :StarfleetInsignia: :vulcan: Sure do!
@socketwench I'm definitely a confused thumbs-in-pockets background guy.
"I program the drum machine" (bossanova pattern plays) "Oops, sorry, not that one. That's not brutal at all"
Without warning, my brain has woken today with a hunger for Siouxsie & the Banshees.
It's been awhile since I appreciated how good an album is "A Kiss in the Dreamhouse"

@ArtifexUmbra @signal9 FWIW, main thing that's kept me on Obsidian is that there's a version for my laptop, phone, and tablet. Though I barely use any of the features
@ArtifexUmbra @signal9 Mostly, I use SyncThing to keep my obsidian stuff sync'd. Works decently across windows, mac, android, and linux.
But, iOS is a wrinkle - for that, I use iCloud Drive and then SyncThing from a hackintosh in the basement. I do not recommend this at all
Also, "92 degrees" sounds like a quaint song about how that's such a hot apocalyptic day.
Meanwhile, we've been up to 113F here in PDX in recent memory and I'm feeling rather pot-froggy
That also reminds me that we were watching a Twitch stream of old TV ads from the 80s, last weekend.
There was a stretch of them from Chicago, with a few blurbs from local news. One of them went on at length about how it was going to be a "scorcher" at 90F and lingered on open fire hydrants and people staying cool.
I'm like, oh sweet summer children...
This week, I've been kind of stumbling into finding the right tools to rip a bunch of DVDs to my NAS. I've mostly settled on MakeMKV, because it seems to extract the most stuff - all the videos on the disc, multiple audio tracks, subtitles galore. I don't really care too much about small file sizes, these days. Just throw another hard disk on the barbie
A weird thing I keep seeing, though, is apparently duplicate videos. That, or one big video that seems to duplicate all the other episodes on the disc. Seems like they have the same content, same audio tracks, same subtitles. Hate to delete and lose content, but 🤷♂️
Not sure if that's the DVD or an artifact of MakeMKV? Honestly I don't remember much about how DVDs are organized - I might have known at one point, but have fully overwritten those memories with orange cat tiktoks.
@toolbear We have family visiting this week - and boy howdy does that resonate
@cruftbox Yeah, I was using handbrake for a bit, but it missed a lot of content like commentary tracks and subtitles. But that is also very likely to be user error?
