Back in the day we'd pipe /usr/share/dict/words into a script to come up with interesting cheap domains, but I bet I'd get my IP blackholed if I tried to find all the $15 .ing domains

@skippy There's a bunch around that for "pre-registration" since it doesn't actually open until December. No idea what that means, though - like is there an auction? 🤷‍♂️

@m Well, the problem right now is that apparently none of the domains are available to sale - except I guess to a few big players? The real deal is an auction starting early December, and all average folks are paying for today is a ticket to that auction :sadcowblob:​

Just clicked a WaPo news article link from an email and got these Google tracking params in the URL. I'm sure I caused this to happen somehow, but I can't remember how 😅
