@maddiefuzz Been spending some time scratching my itch to adjust a vectrex cart shell in Fusion 360. But I really want to dig into OpenSCAD.

OpenSCAD spectacles would be rad as hell

Now we're cookin' with angry pixies

Teaching myself some Autodesk Fusion 360 to get up to some sketchy shit with a Vectrex cartridge shell for a multigame PCB

(I didn't design the shell, I'm just adjusting the support posts a bit for a specific PCB)

Babyโ€™s first model remix worked. The vectrex multigame pcb fits on the lower case posts now.

If i felt adventurous, i might add two more posts for the holes up top - for now there are just kind of two support ledges there under the board

@kattni I was kind of musing about using it, but havenโ€™t gotten started yet. Did also try experimenting with chatgpt & llamafile to see if it could generate some rough starting models, to mixed resuts

The whole parametric history thing in Fusion 360 is pretty neat, too. Made some rough adjustments to the supports, then went at the PCB with some digital calipers to get refined measurements. Could just plug in the numbers to reapply all the model changes

@kattni @krayola Thanks! I'm kinda looking for an itch that needs scratching with it, but being late to the whole 3D printing hobby means almost everything's already been modeled ๐Ÿ˜…

@tankgrrl Yeah, and even if you do manage to see a post these days, they don't render reply threads to the public anonymous view anymore either
