Played a bit of Palworld today. Kind of a survival-mode off-brand Pokemon where you can also pick up the "Pals" and use them as tools & weapons. Very crashy.

Also, uh, you can beat down humans and catch them in "Pal Spheres" and then summon them later to fight. Technically, the humans are "Pals" too. Just slightly twisted

Like 10 years ago, I went all-in on them for clothes because they were the only ones who seemed to have my size and sold stuff that lasted more than a few months.

I felt like a crank, but it seemed like all of a sudden in the past few years, the fit & quality fell off a cliff. Like, the zipper hardware on hoodies was self-destructing in the dryer.

They'd historically had a "no questions asked" lifetime return / replacement policy - but, uh, they started asking questions and turning down returns.

But, maybe I have an explanation now 🤔
