A car just rolled past my house with a phone call very loudly underway over the sound system. I heard a bot voice say "YOUR CALL HAS BEEN FORWARDED TO AN AUTOMATED VOICEMAIL SYSTEM--" and then get interrupted by like random touch tone number mashing and someone yelling "DO YOU WANT NUGGETS YES OR NO CALL ME BACK DAMN IT"

I confess I didn't know who Sanjay Mortimer was, but dang this tribute from Zack Freedman really got me choked up last night. And his call to action at the end to share passions and help draw that out of others really has me thinking

The thing that Zack really sniped me with was the bit where he said that - modulo life circumstances - ADHD, social phobia, and imposter syndrome need to be battled to share passions and not only that but to help draw enthusiasms out of other folks. I'd really like to do that, but feel pretty flattened by my own psychology most of the time

@williampietri Yup, feel like I took on some damage years ago by pushing myself to do things like start getting up at 4am for months to manage to finish writing a book while also having a day job. I did the thing, but now can't really do that same thing again in the same hustle way. Sustainable is the only thing I can do now
Still working on this Didthis app thing at work. It's a thing for recording & sharing hobby projects.
In a weird spot where I want to be dogfooding the project more and posting more hobby stuff. But, also I'm working a lot on the app and not doing hobby stuff as much lately. Maybe I should start posting about work on the app on the app?
(Also, we're looking for users, so come check it out and beat it up!)
@wohali It is mostly a web app, but we're also trying an iOS mobile app shell around it. Lot of ideas kinda up in the air
(also working through a hypothesis on App Store download vs web app usage)

I think this is an ADHD thing: I join dozens of Discords related to my dozens of interests, then lurk for months and never speak up because I feel like I'd be rejected as an interloper.
