Went for a walk, tossing peanuts to crows, as is my wont.
Also absentmindedly threw one of my earbuds that happened to be in my hand.
My earbud is now in the trees.

Lucky thing is I only tend to buy super-cheap earbuds, so I'm only out about $15 if I want to replace it. I still have another one in the pair :blobsweat:
Main thing is I hope that crow also got a peanut and realizes the earbud is not food
@skyguided miraculous bed adhesion keeping the benchy from getting lodged into a nearby wall
Itโs exciting while youโre brushing your teeth after rolling out of bed to get a 10-minute reminder for a meeting invite that was sent while you were dead asleep
@maddiefuzz i... have actually done that before. it was somehow spicy?
I've just been kind of emitting a non-stop stream of Q*Bert noises throughout the recent years of cascading transitional periods https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNsKIgTNvM8
@prime I really wish it was just a full tab in the sidebar like Slack, rather than this weird pop-out thing :sadcowblob:
Whew, okay: I think I'm done trying to torture this poor RasPi Zero W 2 to try running this cncjs app in node.js.
Just a comedy of errors. Can't even get npm to finish installing all the needful modules without running out of memory or losing network connection, even after bumping up swap space and node heap limits.
This guy claims to have done it, in this blog post, but I am seriously dubious at this point.
Could be that it's over 6 years later and I'm trying to use node.js v20 rather than v12 or whatever the version was back then? In any case, I think I need a beefier Pi or a different strategy entirely to wifi-ify my CNC toy
Though, now I see there are a couple of issues in the repo with some hints at how it could possibly be made to work, with installation and cross-compile on another machine. Apparently the thing is beefy enough to run the server, once fully installed?
Then again, I guess I could just deal with using my laptop and a really long USB cable

@socketwench Having had light streaming experience in OBS turned into "oh hey you know how to make videos" for me at work, too :blobsweat:
@scottwilson @molly0xfff I think they stopped linking it from their site footer, but CNN does have a bunch of feeds https://www.cnn.com/services/rss/
@maddiefuzz Nice! What kind of cenobites does this summon?

@robpike Someday, we'll probably be able to run CP/M on a USB-C PD cable!
