This blog post by @heydon about utility-first CSS has happily introduced the phrase "paradigm sharts" into my brainmeats
Ohh, I just pieced together several things:
Winamp can still be downloaded and installed with the original 90s skin.
Milkdrop still works as a music visualizer in Winamp.
Winamp plays MODs and other tracker tunes.
OBS can do a window capture of Winamp.
So, I think I'm going to use Winamp to play MODs on my next live stream
The main downside of Winamp on my laptop, though, is that the display is high DPI and Winamp renders really, really small. Going to have to see if I can tinker with some compatibility settings.
When it first launched I was like "what is this, a music player for ants?"
@Wrewdison no llama asses shall remain unwhipped!
I'm hoping to feel not like a DST-zombie some night this week and try assembling this Why Em-Ulator Sound Module for my #rc2014 - maybe even on a short live stream
I think I've figured out that I could use Vortex Tracker to tinker around with writing some tunes for the thing in .pt3 format, once I've got it making noises
@tankgrrl I require it for enrichment in my enclosure
Terrible self-nerd-snipe idea of the day: Build a thingy that polls RSS feed subscriptions to populate a SQLite database. Build a reader for the SQLite database with Observable Framework

Bunch of meetings today, many separated by 20-30 minute gaps. In theory, I could hustle and get coding done in those gaps. In practice, I go lay down with my cat for a few minutes and dissociate
Have seen a few headlines now where apparently Trump is trying to make "Honest Don" happen as his own nickname?
Is that like calling a big dude "Tiny"? Or a bald dude "Curly"? Or calling me "Champ"?
@george :oof: dang, that's a good one!
So, I let my paid account on omg.lol lapse and they deleted my account on soclal.lol. That's... actually fine & fair? I barely used it and good on them for keeping the place tidy.
I love the idea of omg.lol and initially signed up to toss a few bucks at it to play. But, it turns out I'm basically set for hosting my own stuff on my own domains. Still, it cheers me that omg.lol exists.
Like, I desperately wish something like omg.lol was a service offered with every Mozilla Account along with Firefox Sync and the rest. But, I have no idea how to pitch it and justify it as a moneymaking proposition.
Seems like on principle tools to participate in the web as part of a Mozilla Account should be a thing. But, it's not a thing that your average browser user seems interested in? My hunch is that it's a chicken-and-egg thing but also my hunch is that I'm a web weirdo
@datarama Yeah, part of me wants to take my telnet "dial-up" BBS more seriously and convince folks to hide out there. That's a pretty enormous selection filter for friends though 😅
Oh boy, a tree trimming crew just fired up a wood chipper directly below my home office window in the middle of a meeting. Nice!
@nomad Hmm, the sap from these trees is a suspiciously pink mist 🤔
@kestral "The Aristocrats!" 👐
@TheDarkHorse did you do it for democracy?
Ohh, it didn't even occur to me that some innards from a Framework laptop could be repurposed into a gaming handheld. 🤔 Kind of obvious in retrospect
