Had to dismantle everything in our basement over the weekend in advance of some structural upgrades. This temporary network setup is all gaffer tape and DGAF

I'm a little sad because the "before" is the computers and the arcade carpet and the "after" is the bare basement.

But, you know, ensuring the house remains standing is important, so we need to take care of that. I hope to reverse these photos again in a few months

So yeah, that was my weekend 🥳

At least we're not moving house again in the foreseeable future. 😅 All this stuff is still down there in the basement, just pushed into an unholy mass in the center of the space so the walls are accessible

@zrail Mainly a seismic retrofit, but also a general looksee at the foundation while we're got the walls clear

@Greg I'd say it's less a collection and more an accumulation 😅 But, it all works (except for that dang Tempest machine)

Realizing I have just one laptop left in the house running Windows. Mainly for live streaming from my workbench, because Win11 seemed to handle that better than when I tried Ubuntu on it.

My ADHD OS installation hyperfocus has swung it's baleful glare on that machine and I wonder if EndeavourOS would do the trick?

@Macross I just have a sudden interest in seeing installer progress bars and spinners everywhere! It can't be healthy
