Iā€™m in the thick of the AI bubble professionally, lately - and not hating it entirely - but Iā€™d like the bubble to burst so we could get realistic about what AI/ML tech can actually, usefully do. And, you know, be less scuzzy about it

I remember the dotcom bubble bursting. It wasnā€™t an awesome time, job-wise, but folks continued on doing neat stuff with the web anyway. Kinda hoping a similar cycle happens with AL/ML tech.

Of course, the web stuff all calcified into silos I wish would crumble. And the AI bubble is eating the web as we know it. Dark forests are looking mighty cozy lately. Maybe thereā€™s something interesting there?

That said, 25 years later, I got a shipment of cat litter from Chewy just last week.
