Trying a thing with labeling in a different color. Turned out not great, not terrible. Didn’t spaghettify, didn’t turn out quite right #3dprinting

@ted Yeah, PLA, though from two different manufacturers. Orange is “PLA2” from FilaCube while black is from Sunlu
This is more promising: haven’t tried glue stick in awhile. Tried that now
Also, I’m gonna be finding little numbers all over the basement for months
@Triffen Well, this seemed weird, in that it’s a color change within the first layer, without using an MMU. Printed the orange first and then printed the black on top as a totally separate print. I think the orange wasn’t adhering well and then the print head knocked some of it around

@Triffen The numbers are recessed flush with the surface of the ring. This is apparently a trick in the design of this thing, kinda wish they were just printed raised as the final layer 🤷♂️

Looks good this time! And what is this thing? It’s an upgrade to my coffee grinder so I can better dial-in the grind for drip and espresso
It’s a nice grinder, but with terrible controls. Before this mod, I had to turn a tiny knob roughly twice clockwise to get an espresso grind, then roughly twice back to get a drip grind. With this, it’s fewer turns and i can actually see a relative position
