@tankgrrl That airlock panel kinda looks like it belongs in Space 1999

@tankgrrl I may have been bingeing Space 1999 on youtube lately :)

Hark and behold, I have left the house and gotten on a bus bound for Portland Retro Gaming Expo

This Tempest cabaret has one of the smoothest spinners I’ve even encountered

It doesn’t even go BRRRRRRR when I fling it around!

This reminds me i need to get back to fixing the Tempest cab in my basement, finally 😮‍💨

@zigg every machine i’ve ever played does, but apparently that’s just poor maintenance 😅

Ope, somebody pulled the fire alarm on - everybody’s outside

I have retreated home from , because it’s a 5 minute bus ride and I’d rather do yard work than loiter in the sidewalk crowd

Also unfortunately I am reminded that I really want a cabaret Tempest machine 😮‍💨

@robdaemon they’re just so fun-sized

@gbrnt I guess the photo angle doesn't really dissuade from that interpretation :D

I also saw a Rush pinball machine at and learned it sells for like $8000-$10000 😱

@munin @u0421793 this is the best description of docker i’ve ever read. it’s literally a “it worked on my machine” technology

Normalize reaching over to plonk little googly eye stickers on the lenses, if your friend shows up wearing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. Keep a few googly eye stickers in your pockets at all times.

Like don't say anything, just lean over with a googly eye sticker in each hand.

Maybe go "boop!" and smile as you press the googly eyes on the Ray-Ban Meta smart glass lenses. Make it a friendly thing

A thing that I’ve never gotten used to on iOS and absolutely hate: when links open in an app that’s not my browser

Like, I’ll click on a link to Steam with the intention to send the tab to the browser on my gaming PC if it looks good.

But it opens in the Steam app on my phone, in which I can’t do that. It’s like stubbing my toe. I can work around it by opening in a new tab, but it’s so annoying

It’s like texting someone - and instead of texting back, they immediately call you on the phone

Listening to @llamasoft_ox talk about light synths, I kinda want a modern remake of the Atari Video Music with all the clunky klonky buttons and wood grain but with a modern GPU and hdmi out
