Oh hey, looks like iOS has better options for dragging icons & folders to specific spots on the home screen!

(meticulously arranges folders and icons)

Hmm, maybe just add a widget

(iOS rearranges all my meticulously arranged folders and icons automagically ✨ )

Someday, I swear I'm going back to Android, but I'm currently determined to wait until this iPhone 13 crumbles to dust in my hands before I buy another phone. Hopefully phones will be less annoying to me personally by then.

I think the main things I'm waiting for in phones are a) no camera protrusion on the back, or at least a lie-flat-no-wobble situation without a case (so maybe the case can be thinner) and b) no enormous cut-out in the front screen for camera sensors.

Oh, and no iOS, because I've really tried to like that OS and I really don't

"Blogging is kind of lost, and I would like to see that change. Every time you post something you're proud of on a social media site, how about taking a moment and posting it to your blog too. And while there, if appropriate, link to something from some part of your post, even though the social media sites don't support linking, the web is still there and it still does."

@tomjennings@tldr.nettime.org 🤔 I've got my previous Samsung Galaxy S10 that's still reasonably performant, I should give GrapheneOS a spin on that as a preview

I've just kind of left it alone because it still works great as an IP camera I use in workbench livestreams occasionally, but I haven't done one of those in awhile 😅 `

@maddiefuzz I neglected to supply treats to Cosmo this morning and he was briefly disappointed in me

Today's minor yet major annoyance: A t-shirt I haven't worn since my last work trip a couple months ago still smells a bit like the hotel after a wash. Not overwhelmingly, mind you, just slightly. Just enough to smell like not-home.

Also that hotel had a very strong-to-me ambient scent that I never quite got accustomed to before I left.

I've always been a bit sensitive to scents - e.g. always know when a stranger has been in the house, and stranger-scent means I need to be socially masking & vigilant even if they were expected to be there.

I think that got sharpened during the early COVID era - since lingering scents suggest poor ventilation to me, which, in turn, suggests danger.

So, I signed up for this 3D artist's patreon for one (1) month because I wanted one (1) model from her. The month ended, I was happy with that model.

Then she went and released a dozen more related models - and I'm like welp dang she's good at this timing thing.

Like holy crap, it was cute enough when she had a girl holding a cat.

But now the girl has a little brother and there's a dog and a bat and a crow and a frog and a mandrake and a mushroom. Honestly, she could have doled all those out over the next year, so I'm a little intimidated at what else she has in the hopper

@socketwench Our Catsby has a weird habit of getting stuck in cupboards. He can open the door and squeeze in, but then has no idea he can shoulder his way out when the door closes. Then he yowls. We're told he's done that since he was a kitten.

🤔 what if someone made Artificial Stupidity to make your content a whole lot worse? It could have this as the sparkle icon next to the button

"the Twee Web - or Tweb" (is this anything?)

@Lana I'm trying to imagine the writing professional sitting at a desk having to come up with all of these

Today's vibe

@foone wow, that's heinous
