Memo to @lmorchard: This is why you bunny-proof 🐰 all your cables. Buttercream has sharp teeth.
Okay now load this toot into the time machine and-- oh you're saying this is the time machine power cord? Crap

@pagrus@mastodon.social yeah, our kitten tends to prefer the specific USB C cables that seem to be the only ones to work with a Nintendo Switch. Very picky that one
Also I kinda missed this guy
@fraying FWIW, this bothers me all the time
@george @hypomodern @bdimcheff @twbrandt @csalzman Yeah, I think that checkbox has been until last week what they call a "fake door" test - does nothing, but you checking it is like a sneaky survey answer
"Embracing stasis to get unstuck"
TL;DR: Trying a new blog because the old one was dragging me down. Maybe the new one won't as much?

Also I guess that's me sort of decloaking my new stealth WordPress blog :)
@jenclone Hi, welcome!
Also, I refer to an aaronsw blog post at least once per year and then get sad. http://www.aaronsw.com/weblog/000404
@georgeh Oh, hmm, I might have to hack the meta tag... /feed/index.xml is there but S3 will only serve up index.html for /feed/ (unlike Apache etc with multiple index.* extensions)
@georgeh Also I just added "MAME emulator embed block for Gutenberg" to my wheel of side projects
@craigmaloney Well, one of the other things I'm thinking of doing is merging all my feeds together, maybe at lmorchard.com/feed/ or something.
It's kind of a messy process :)
@craigmaloney Because who knows, I might publish at one of my other blogs again someday :D :D :D
@craigmaloney Yeah, blog.lmorchard.com would be the last most recent, since I've been lazy since March
@craigmaloney Yeah, kind of wrestling with the meta tags at the moment. Links to /feed/ rather than /feed/index.xml because Amazon S3 is super dumb
Hurf durf, looks like I have to remember how to write a WordPress plugin for the first time in 10 years lololol
Oh, alright, well that wasn't so bad. Nine lines of PHP later and it looks like I've got a plugin to fix my feed URLs on my new static WordPress blog
It was either that or write some Amazon Lambda@Edge code to do smarter default document selection.
Which *sounds* fun, but semi-defeats the purpose of a dumb static website.
@lindseyb Yup. Computers are bad
Me to more junior developers: The only difference between you and I that I can open google results & skim tabs faster than you
also i can accidentally a word
@erinbee shh! my secret!
