@Insultron2000 let me have it

@Insultron2000 You stink

@Zach It's kind of working now, if you mention @Insultron2000

@Zach It does need a bunch more tweaking though, so it might not be fully working :)

@Insultron2000 Your mother wears army boots

Alright, time for bed. @Insultron2000 is successfully besmirching me

@thomasfuchs only amiga makes it possible?

Oh hell yeah its spoopytimes

@sivy Hmm. That probably wouldn't be a hard extension to write. What would make it good though?

Also, I've been trying to not post many links here. Which is a thing I tried when I first joined birdsite and later gave up. (Of course, i was working on del.icio.us when i joined birdsite so...)

Solution

@thomasfuchs ah! The right angle threw me. My friends and i all started with 500s and 2000s, none of which had that

@craigmaloney is it that asterisk? I feel like sql queries default to ALL THE THINGS until you specify limits and queries. Easier to delete everything than just one thing

Bunnies make everything better*

@babe@glitterkitten.co.uk I can sympathize with all these things. And also a whole TV stand worth of cords chewed through before we learned to bunny-proof better

Bunnies make everything better*

@babe@glitterkitten.co.uk Yeah, she was our first bunny and we underestimated how fast she could hop-chomp around back of there. Now everything's like wrapped up for a space mission

@sivy Haha yeah, it pretty much responds to any interaction with insults right now. Planning to tinker with it more to do more varied things

@sivy Also thinking of having it randomly insult followers over time

@Insultron2000 Lemme have it!

@sivy I'm a pokemon, catch em all

wherein I use my new blog to say a few things about my insult-bot tinkerings from Sunday

Also, I wonder if I can get this done decently in tattoo form?

It's a scan of a thing I wrote on a workbook from second or third grade.

I should find the original again (maybe at my mom's house) and give it another scan. I did this one years ago and it's kind of potato quality

@craigmaloney Sure, kind of thinking about that... kind of wanted to get that stuff out of my head before I procrastinated away from doing it at all. But, a deeper dive / walkthrough would be handy

Oh yeah and I got a couple new pens over vacation: a TWSBI Precision and TWSBI Eco. Heard so-so things about their manufacturing quality but pretty happy with these critters so far

Super satisfying to twist the knob on the end of the Eco and see the syringey barrel just fill up with so much ink from the bottle

@rtwx My daily writers so far have been Pilot Metropolitan and Lamy Al-Star. So far I'd say this Eco is right there with the Al-Star except SO MUCH INK. On the other hand, the cap doesn't post as securely on the end.

Also, to be honest, I was kind of attracted to the TWSBI Precision because it kind of looks like those code cylinder things people have in their breast pockets on Star Wars

@rtwx Ah yeah, those Kara's Kustoms are also high on my wishlist!

@thatcosmonaut I feel like our cat would just stare me down and say "yes, I am aware. *step* you are late with the feeding"

birdsite, verklempt over my intern this summer

So, I worked with an intern this past summer. She keeps saying nice things about me and happy things about herself on birdsite. And she got a job with Intel. Ahhhhhhhh! It's too much

birdsite, verklempt over my intern this summer

I'd say I'm proud of her, but I barely did anything. All summer, I'd vaguely wave in directions for her to pursue work and answer questions whenever she needed. As an intern she just took off running and read all the docs and did all the things with barely any guidance.
