That thing where I say something is prohibitively difficult in a meeting and then 10 minutes after the meeting my brain produces a feasible way to do that thing and I feel bad for having said what I said in the meeting.

So I just figured out how to build a .zip file and offer a download link to that file entirely from client-side JS in a web page. Feels like I just partly melted my own brain.

@hypomodern I know, right? I had thought it wouldn't work and then did a little more due diligence and found the support has been there for years

@ajroach42 It's not, though... The case for this is a web-based theme editor that can let you export the theme as a browser add-on without hitting a server

@ajroach42 Well, I mean, if you think browser-as-app-platform is iffy, then yeah.

But, for these kinds of things it's easier for folks to visit a link than download & run a separate application
