@Insultron2000 Get to work lazy bot!
Huh, finally got an outbox working for @Insultron2000 and the profile avatar updated, yay!
Also I have just recently learned that this goblin mask avatar is rather lewd
get you some camembert
get you some chevre
@Mephistopheles@ennui.industries @jenn Yeah, that works better :D
@Insultron2000 Stop repeating yourself, dummy!
@Insultron2000 In your face!
@Insultron2000 You stink!
Think I just got @Insultron2000 properly federating to sharedInbox endpoints, so it can be extra annoying with insults!
So Poe's "Haunted" comes up on the playlist and I'm really feeling spooktober. Also I really wish she hadn't been screwed by the record company and had more albums out
If Google+ is shutting down, can Google Reader come back?
@c0debabe true, true
I mean, I already have an instance of Tiny Tiny RSS running on my NAS in my house, but I do miss the social reading features of Reader
@craigmaloney Yeah, I think it's even got a bespoke sharing thing between TTRSS instances, but I've never tried using it.
Tempted to do something ActivityPub, but not necessarily just posting to a mastodon-style account. Might work better with a UI that isn't a birdsite-alike and one that has comments attached to shared links
@craigmaloney Actually, something I've kind of wanted to do is sort of like nuzzel.com but federated / oss
Once upon a time, I had a script that gave me a daily news briefing.
It ran over 1000+ RSS feeds. Indexed & counted all the feed items by links they contained. Then, it produced a report listing the most popular links with items listed under each
It got tricky mainly in normalizing the links. Had to de-reference link shorteners, trim off tracking parameters and suchlike. I wonder what links look like these days in the wild
Every now and then, I wish someone would remake or make something in the communication-heavy weird style of Captain Blood. http://www.denofgeek.com/us/games/captain-blood/248135/the-strange-life-of-captain-blood
@c0debabe Tempted to turn it on so it gets warmer for her
@Nezchan Yeah, that monitor has taken a fall from a tall shelf once (also cats) and still works perfectly
@staticsafe@mastodon.zombocloud.com you might find guilt handy for that maybe https://repo.or.cz/w/guilt.git
