Still annoys me that WebFinger requires a query parameter and can't just resolve an URL path
@sivy Well, like it uses /.well-hosted/webfinger?resource=acct:foo%40bar.com
Instead it could have just been /.well-hosted/webfinger/acct:foo%40bar.com and made static hosting much easier
@Elizafox To be honest, that *does* kind of confuse me. But also, to be fair, I *do* have outdated ideas on identity that I've been throwing away. So, yeah
@sivy Yeah, all the responses to objections I see are like "how hard are rewrite rules?" And I'm like, pretty hard without a rewrite engine - how hard are simple URL paths?
I mean sure, cloudfront has lambda@edge functions these days, but that's stupid for this.
Once per evening, our 1-year-old cat stops what he's doing, sprints over to me, hops into my lap, climbs my chest, and gets into my face to purr and be pet.
This lasts about 10 minutes and then he leaves. He is not a lap cat for me at any other time but this. And he prefers not to be picked up almost ever.
But for this one time every night, he wants to be speed-cuddled.
I almost got a picture of it tonight, but the act of reaching for my phone broke the spell and he sprinted away.
what if youtube but working
#hugops because i wouldn't notice no youtube if i hadn't been working through my watch later queue
@scanlime Oh hey, I really should check that out, first page looks a lot like my "watch later" queue :)
@zcopley Yeah, I think it's based on UNIX finger from the 70s, because it was a snitch, but still weird
@Insultron2000 Hey, you.
@annika Aww, my condolences. I've never taken care of rats, but they seem like sweeties
So I'm warily circling this new Starlink: Battle for Atlas game on Nintendo Switch.
On one hand, I am a predictable sucker for games involving space ships.
On the other hand, this DLC-via-endless-collectable-toys thing feels scummy.
On yet another hand I've grown just for this toot, I am also a predictable sucker for space ship toys.
Not pictured: 2 minutes later, I shifted my elbow, their toes touched, and they both got up and ran off in different direction
Oh wait: i forgot /.well-known/host-meta and url templates - maybe i can hack webfinger into a static site after all!
Oh hey, I just remembered that I made a Spotify playlist of songs for the end credits of imaginary movies

"ASMR interrupted by fart"
I'm dying. And somehow hungry for chicken cup cakes
@nelson @vaguery It's gross! Also I believe they have an IETF RFC 6109 for it! https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6108
Planning to fire up my coding stream, but got distracted by the only ASMR performance that ever spooped & relaxed me at the same time https://www.twitch.tv/nikatine
Firing up the coding stream. Probably going to be unfocused and random, but we'll see what's what. Grabbing an espresso and I'll be on https://twitch.tv/lmorchard
Stream complete! https://www.twitch.tv/videos/323936078
@kellan It's kind of a flooded pit of despair unless you're using async/await, and then it's upgraded to a pothole of sock moistening
