Once upon a time, when I worked the front desk of my college dorm on the late overnight shift, I would habitually have a snack consisting of a Snickers and a Surge soda.
I used to wonder why that shift made me so agitated...

@pixelpaperyarn @erosdiscordia And also +100 to forming a solid base but also trying things. Better to get some depth in something rather than succumb to decision paralysis. If you stick around long enough, you can always try the thing you didn't start with, and eventually patterns emerge

Wish I'd had the energy to have our house decked out for my favorite holiday of the year.
It's decked out in my head, complete with animatronics and lights and microcontrollers I spent all year tinkering with.
Down on myself about it. Trying not to be. Happens every year. Trying to be okay with just gathering the gumption to hand out candy, because I am really jazzed to see kids and grups out being happy & weird.
I guess, tl;dr: take care of yourselves, have fun, and stay spooky.

You know who else got a full sized candy bar? Drunk grandma who wobbled up to our door in mardi gras beads and said "you might as well try!"
Also, i had my robot pumpkin out and it made a few kids forget to ask for candy. Next year I should add a candy dispenser to it
