Been reading Charlie Jane Anders' Never Say You Can't Survive lately and been trying to internalize her advice to lean into thinking up and telling weird stories to deal with the world's manifold fuckery. Still got a lot of work & skilling up to do, but it's better than doomscrolling.
Also the manifold fuckery is strong today but I just want to live in this video for "Killing Time" from Actors
Two of the best things I figured out with iOS in the past month - using Shortcuts and Back Tap (buried at the bottom of Accessibility > Touch settings):
- a double tap with a fingernail on the back of the phone opens Obsidian from anywhere
- a triple tap summons a dialog where I can type in a quick note that gets appended to today's journal note in Obsidian
Shortcuts on iOS is such a weird little attempt at visual programming
Then again, I don't know that I've seen a non-weird attempt at visual programming yet, so maybe my internal definition is what's weird?

So I just got this really nice Thunderbolt 4 port station for my work MacBook and a thing I love about TB4 are all these USB-C cables I have that fit the socket but don't do the thing.
