Also, my work to become a backyard Disney princess is bearing fruit: there are 4 squirrels, 2 scrub jays, and a crow hanging out with me as I get the coals for my grill fired up. Going to try to get pictures but apparently the zoom on my iPhone is not awesome

This squirrel lost half their tail somehow over the summer. They’ve been hanging out on my fence with me all day and occasionally fetching peanuts that I toss out

This scrub jay I’ve been feeding is very picky. I can toss out like 10 peanuts and they’ll go through and pick up & shake each of them before selecting 2 and cramming them into their beak to fly off
