Just installed Barrier to share my mouse & keyboard between a Mac laptop & a Windows laptop, and I keep stubbing my brain on Cmd vs Ctrl key combos

@graystevens I will say the very nice thing about those LidLayers is that they're pre-cut.

It's a cheap DIY project to do with shelf liner, but also can be a little frustrating. But, having done it at least a dozen times now, I'd probably eye up a LidLayer once this roll runs out

@Wrewdison @graystevens @stroughtonsmith I need to dig them out of boxes since we moved a couple of years ago, but it was really neat to have a dozen or so collections of stickers harvested from old laptop lids hanging on my office walls

Weirdly sad to unsubscribe from the mailing list of deals from a beer & pizza store a few blocks away from a house on the other side of the country where I haven't lived for about 7 years

I've got nostalgia for a period where occasionally the girl would be off to a conference for a few days. I'd walk over to that pizza place and get fully unhealthy provisions for myself to go feral until she got back. She did the same thing with different food when I'd be away for a week.

That house was also walking distance from a theater, and I remember walking over there to watch Mad Max Fury Road like 3 times in a row while she was gone one weekend

@null FWIW, barrier's been so-so, so far. Rather stuttery on my network for mouse input and has a few bugs where macOS stops allowing it to handle keyboard input (I guess thanks to some security feature) bleh 🤷‍♂️
