@lindsey Are those, like, Joy Division Doc Marten skates? 😮
(this comment brought to you by not reading the alt-text 😅 )
The girl and I have been bingeing Supernatural recently, and I absolutely forgot about S9E20, "Bloodlines".
At first we thought it was just a parody of pretty-people CW dramas - but, no: It was meant to be a backdoor pilot for a spin-off show? 😬 So bad.

LRT: my Logo bot crashed after the first run and I gotta go to bed, but it managed to post a video of a program run all on its own!
@danhon I did that to the wrong state, when we first moved to PDX 😅
One of my biggest regrets is ever having been a YouTube TV customer, because now they just won't leave me alone about reactivating across every platform on which I view YouTube videos. It even comes up when I have to use YouTube as a second auth factor on iOS.
They're almost as bad as the Scientologists who've followed me across 30 years and 3 states with incessant attempts to re-recruit me.
LIke, fuckin take "no" for an answer for a little while at least and maybe you'll stop reminding me why I said "no" long enough to accidentally say "yes" again someday
Speaking of which, I wonder if it would be interesting / problematic if I posted photos of the Scientology junk mail I get nearly every day?
It's a mix of weird personal letters cajoling me to return to the "org" and glossy brochures of cruise ships where I'm promised to be rid of all my thetans with the help of smiling folks in uniform
To be clear: My association with Scientology was back in 1991, when I was 16. I spent $150 of my grocery-store bagger money on a few self-esteem and inter-personal communication courses at the "org" in Royal Oak, MI. It was really weird. They've never left me alone since.
@Mossop Yeah, insofar as Google says "open YouTube on your iPhone to confirm this strange login" when I log in from an apparently unrecognized computer
@craigmaloney Yeah, back then they used to have the folks doing personality tests on street corners and I fell for the Dianetics commercials on TV with the volcanos and dramatic music
@craigmaloney Haha yeah, I think the Scientology thing hit me like "a scientific religion?! I need to see this"
"ASCII art by chatbot"
This would be neat as a door or a message base bot on a BBS, but it sure does have weird ideas about giraffes

Also, merry BLÅHAJ to all who celebrate. #tdov #TransDayOfVisibility
@cinja Yeah, I'm not sure, since my account's "tainted" now by once having subscribed. What I see is usually the first 1/2 or so of the screen asking me to reactivate every time I visit anything youtube on any platform - full-screen dialog to dismiss when I visit on iOS the first time in a day.
@mhoye@mastodon.social I'm also of the opinion that a basic function of society should be the persistent attenuation of luck, both bad and good, in exchange for generally favorable outcomes for everyone in the society.
There is work happening on our house to rebuild a deck that we discovered was leaking rainwater into the kitchen, where it exited the walls via the power outlets. It has been quite the odyssey over many weeks.
Today apparently involves running a gas-powered leaf blower indoors?
@kusuriya Not so far, though I do have a window open in my office with a fan pulling in fresh air.
@e_er1n you might have failed the stealth rolls, but you can roll charisma checks with advantage
