Hmm, a new interview with Jeff Martin of The Tea Party just dropped today on their YouTube channel after a year or so of quiet. It'd be nice if they were up to something

@sam Have you considered sharing less interesting thoughts? š
@sam :blobwhee:ā I, too, have been there also thanks to ADHD
Managing wiggling apps on my phone's home screen is the worst game on iOS.
Taking @MonaApp for a spin. Looks neato, has a trial of paid features and Iām more than willing to pony up for a good mastodon app.
Posting an image is a little better than @ivory insofar as the image is at least only partly obscured by the dialogue to enter a description - whereas Ivory hides the image altogether
No custom emoji?
Like, I really want to support these apps, but feels not great when they're missing key features supported by in-browser views
@astatide Yeah, my problem is that it feels like I have to be pixel perfect or else things jump in and out of folders, folders jump around, and the whole careful house of cards collapses
@NireBryce Hahah yeah no, that was absolutely a thing
@randomgeek life, uhh, finds a way
@nomad @lilithsaintcrow Yeah, I feel like I ended up in very confusing conversations around this as a kid... Like, if God is male, with whom is he reproducing and what is their kid? Usually got angry responses or told I don't understand and just listen
Lazyweb question: Anyone have a favorite color tablet that's good for comic books?
I guess "big iPad" is maybe the answer, but I kinda want an android tablet
Once upon a time, my Nexus 7 was my favorite tablet, but it seems pretty long in the tooth and sluggish now. Also, just a bit too small for comfy reading of american comics
@rafial Ohh yeah, I think I forgot you could run Android apps on ChromeOS!
Sometimes, while on a walk, i wish i could summon my bike out of thin air like a mount from World of Warcraft
I feel like the folks behind all the enshittification in streaming TV services forget that piracy is a thing and possibly more convenient than their thing as the enshittification intensifies
Like forget family password sharing - how about family VPN, torrent tracker, and Plex network sharing?
I can very vividly imagine - so vividly that it could be mistaken for factual memory - many times when I might have paid for a thing to watch, found that the thing to watch the thing was broken, then pirated the thing I paid for just for a better experience from Kodi or Plex.
@micheal Seems like an opportunity for some NAS vendor to convince that one tech-savvy cousin to outfit all the family homes with small servers and a real private VPN between them so they can all share the next hypothetical season of Succession or something
@recluse@dice.camp I'm sure this will occur because you will visit the home of a loyal HBO customer, comrade! š
@sungo Yeah, honestly, at the end of the day, things will never get so enshittified that a large population would successfully pirate stuff. At least not before someone else de-shittifies just enough
@elithebearded I have a Tern HSD P9, which is... well, the handlebars fold down so it can stand in a corner.
I think the bike would have to be pretty light to consider taking it on a long walk, otherwise I might as well bike all round. That said, we do have these rentable e-bikes all over town if I were really seriously in need
(Although, yeah, a brompton looks really neat!)
