@theauracle Pool’s on the roof

I’m here to kick ass and pet cats. It’s looking like I won’t be running out of cats any time soon, so apologies in advance for all the unkicked asses.

@60pencilgirl@mstdn.ca @mmasnick it’s pining for the fjords

@q trying to think of ways to discreetly work the question into interviews, like “your resume is very good but do you, you know, nya ✨ (paw motion)”

@rossk@mastodon.gamedev.place i was reflexively about to tell you - but yeah you know what? Carry on, you’re living the dream

Listening to an episode of Hard Fork where they’re talking about the obvious coming problem of AI training on scraped web data from a web increasingly generated by AI. It’ll be like the squeal of microphone feedback.

Also apparently pre-2022 scraped data sets are getting more valuable, like scavenging low-background steel from old WWII shipwrecks because they were made before the first nuclear bomb went off and contaminated everything

@spacekookie oh no now I'm the cat

Every now and then I think I should check in on my Animal Crossing island, and then I remember how I left the bathroom in my house

@Macross I seem to recall at some point there was a lucrative business in catching spiders in the game, storing them overnight, and then selling them at a store in the morning. Luckily they can't escape from the lil terrariums. But they make for great, calming decor in the shitter

re: in game horror

@Macross It's kinda too bad that that isn't what happens, really
