Through my open office window, I heard a passing child out on the sidewalk yell. Sounded like a baby goat and I was about to bleat back when it occurred to me that it might not be well-received.

(I was trying really hard not to write the word "kid" in that toot)
@MichaelKlamerus kinda looks like Bruce Campbell
@Alairthephoenix donate your bones to Richard Dunn
@hotdogsladies Let us know when Daft Punk is playing at your house!
That thing where I look at the clock and acknowledge that it is 20 minutes until my next meeting and internalize that as if it's an unchanging fact.
And then, 10 minutes later, I am surprised that it's 10 minutes until my next meeting.
Time is ever a mystery to me
Suddenly, I was 6 minutes late for my next meeting.
@LittleMxSurly oh no, that's unsarcastically tragic
@stupidmentalhealthwalks also, hydrating at the same time from sky moisture!
@emilygorcenski What I keep wanting is something that makes richer use of at least ActivityStreams / ActivityPub.
That is, you can post all kinds of stuff into a personal stream - but the things can then be filtered & split & distributed into different apps & feeds based on object type & metadata. Different audiences, different lenses, etc
tl;dr: I think I am agreeing totally
🏃 ohshit it's 1 minute until my meeting after last
@ignu Same same!
An old man's thoughts turn to buying his first 3D printer again. Musing between things like a Prusa MK4 vs Bambu Lab X1-Carbon vs Sovol SV07
The apparent slickness of a Bambu looks attractive for the price, but the walled garden approach gives me the creeps.
Trying to feel out the balance between 3D printing as a hobby vs 3D printer itself as a hobby
@socketwench @ladytel Some vague googling and reddit skimming made me wary of an Ender as more of a fussy clunker, but I don't have any real idea 🤔
@hotdogsladies it certainly has a lot of wires
I'm hearing that if I get into 3D printing in rainy Portland, that I really really need means of keeping my filament dry 😅
@danhon only if they're waterproof
