re: Star Trek Generations

@maddiefuzz I quote that so dang often

hehe im in danger

"Home automation is a psychiatric illness characterized by installing networked electronics in every possible piece of household ephemera.

"It begins with a preoccupation with light switches and gradually subsumes hopes, dreams, and consumer electronics until the victim is a hollow husk whose only joy comes from watching a lamp's color temperature change as they enter a room."

@benbrown @brianleroux oh no what happens if the form isn't prevented from submitting?!

@cypnk $shell::ghost

@danhon On a daily basis, I kinda cycle between "oy vey", "uff da", and "ai ya"

I just managed to cut my nose with a spoon while eating oatmeal. It's a dangerous world out there, folks.

@kellogh they don't teach you that in school!

@thegibson godspeed

@tim_lavoie Exactly this 😅

Fell down a rabbit hole of rebuilding the RetroPie install for the little RPi3-based bartop arcade machine in my office.

The upside: Rather than having everything on its internal SD card, now it gets game ROMs via a directory mounted from my NAS. That's like 10s of 1000s more ROMs than it had before.

The downside: Now it takes 9 minutes to boot into Emulation Station because it's scanning 10s of 1000s more ROMs than it had before.

@skippy Lately, I've tended to throw something on there with a decent attract mode, since it's been more office decoration lately than actually being played.

Since it's close to spooky times, that's been Nightstalkers / Vampire Savior

Sometimes I have Dragon's Lair running on there just because it's fun to watch.

DoDonPachi is fun as an classic vertical scrolling shmup.

Otherwise, I cycle through some Atari stuff like Tempest, Gauntlet, and Blasteroids

Is it 9-11s? Or 9s-11?
