@mjgardner I really kinda miss Firefox's old Panorama / Tab Groups feature. Now, I just use macOS mission control or windows' win-tab view to zoom out and see all my windows

@dumpsterqueer Oof, yeah, app tokens on Mastodon are weird.

IIRC, OAuth was designed with the intent that an app token is a Very Serious Thing that an application developer acquires ideally once from a Single Big Service via a registration & approval process.

But since Mastodon (well, the fediverse, really) is an archipelago of many service providers, it's kinda onerous to apply to all of them individually. So, screw it, make em easy to to generate by default.

But, then, applications do the "right thing" and treat them as the intended semi-precious resources and not semi-disposable as Mastodon makes them

(not that any of this is anything you don't already know, but I guess I wonder what would be a better protocol for this sort of system. generating new app tokens everywhere all the time seems a bit shady too)

Just dug up my fingerless post-apocalypse gloves since my office doesn't seem to want to get above 50F and the heat duct does nothing
